UPHEAVAL FIRST LOOK / MEGACON / GSP LAST CALL

Hey Kids, I make comics.

I am tired! I am so friggen tired!! Megacon took a bunch out of me. Take a look at the bags under my eyes. If that is not a man who has put it all out there to sell his work. I dont know what is.

The con wasn’t a runaway success, and I’ve had better financial years in the past. However, we love MEGACON and will always find a way to attend. However, that being said it was still a great show. I love spending time with my fellow creators. Every year, I host a creator hangout dinner—here’s a picture from this year’s gathering.

That is always a highlight but all in all it was a bit of a weird weekend, given that it fell on the same weekend as the Super Bowl. But in the end, none of that really matters—the best part is seeing the fans. We have so many who come back year after year to check out our work. I heard personal stories about how Granite State Punk saved someone or how much they love Cthulhu Invades and Holiday Spirits.

The joy of hearing that my work has moved someone is incredible—but what makes it even more special is seeing the pride (and sometimes tears) on my wife’s face as she’s just as moved as I am. It’s like experiencing the emotion twice, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

So, that’s wraps up Megacon. if you came and saw me that means the world to me and my wife. I will also state that networking went well this weekend and i got two leads for new writing gigs that will hopefully become something!!


NEXT UP - GRANITE STATE PUNK- LIVE FREE OR DIE …. Needs help.

GRANITE STATE PUNK ain’t funded yet, and that’s a goddamn crime! This book is legit the best in the series, it’s raw, and it’s exactly the kind of book that needs to build audience. If we don’t get this thing over the line, what does that say about indie comics in 2025?! Its just crazy to me because i know we have so many fans for this project.

I’ve had a ton of people tell me how much GSP means to them—how it hits different, how it’s real. But here we are, still fighting to get it backed. We will make it across the finish line but i am hoping that more of our fans show up.

So here’s the deal: We need YOU. If you love punk, if you love indie comics, if you love stories that punch you in the teeth and make you feel something—then throw down and back this book. Because this scene? This movement? It only survives if we show up.
